The S4E Cloud dashboard is your central command center for monitoring security posture across all assets. It is organized into three tabs: Overview, Details, and Scan Graph.

Accessing the Dashboard

After logging in, you land on the dashboard by default. You can return to it at any time by clicking Dashboard in the left sidebar under General. At the top of the dashboard you will find quick-action buttons for Start a Scan, Scan Reports, and Add Asset.

Overview Tab

The Overview tab provides a real-time operational view of your security pipeline.

Security Operations Overview

The main operational flow on the Overview tab is Security Operations Overview — a Sankey diagram with the subtitle How your assets are protected, scanned, and monitored. A Live indicator shows that the data is current. Band widths reflect relative volume flowing between stages (left to right). Use the information (i) icons next to labels for definitions; use the action in the header when you need to export or share the view.

The diagram has four columns:

  1. Your Assets — Split between Covered Assets (share of assets with scan coverage, blue flow) and Uncovered Assets (share without coverage, red flow). Uncovered assets feed Unscanned Assets in the next column.

  2. Security Operations — Activity from covered assets flows into:

  3. Scan Executions — Total scan runs.
  4. URLs Discovered — URLs found through crawling and discovery.
  5. Enrichments Detected — Enrichment events produced from your assets and scans.
  6. Integration — Integration-related activity count.
  7. Unscanned Assets — Count of assets not yet scanned (fed by uncovered assets; red).

Flows from Scan Executions, URLs Discovered, Enrichments Detected, and Integration converge toward Analysis & Response. Unscanned Assets does not feed the analysis hub; it highlights a coverage gap.

  1. Analysis & Response — Operational outputs are consolidated and acted on:
  2. Outputs Analyzed — Items processed through analysis (main hub receiving the security-operations flows).
  3. Decisions & Actions — Tracked decisions and actions taken on findings.
  4. Support — Support-related items.
  5. Notifications — Notifications sent based on analysis and workflow.

  6. Security Posture — Outcomes from Outputs Analyzed:

  7. Overall Security Score — Score out of 100 with a qualitative risk level (for example High when risk is elevated).
  8. Key Findings — Breakdown of open findings by severity (Info, Low, Medium, High, Critical), with color cues matching severity.

Live Risk Score

Displays your overall security posture as a single score. Click View Details to drill down into the factors contributing to the score.

Key Metrics

Below the risk score, the dashboard highlights critical attention areas:

  • Critical Vulnerabilities -- Total count of critical-severity findings.
  • Coverage Gaps (Blind Spots) -- Assets or areas not covered by current scans.
  • Highest-risk Asset -- The asset with the worst security score.
  • Attention Needed -- Active items requiring your immediate action.
  • Unverified Assets -- Assets that have not completed ownership verification.

Quick Stats

A severity breakdown based on data from the last 7 days, showing the total number of issues and change indicators:

Severity Color
Critical Purple
High Red
Medium Orange
Low Green
Informational Blue

Priority Actions

Actions prioritized based on risk growth, not severity alone. This list surfaces threats that are trending upward and should be addressed first. Each entry shows the threat name, affected asset, port, and detection date.

Recently Detected

New findings detected since the last scan cycle. This live feed helps you stay on top of the latest discoveries as they happen.

Scan Terminal

A live terminal log showing real-time scan activity, including scan completions and system events. The scanner IP addresses used by S4E are listed here for whitelisting purposes.

Newly Added Important Scans

Lists scans that have been newly added to the system and run automatically against your assets. Shows severity, scan name, last auto-scan date, and target scope.

Details Tab

The Details tab provides in-depth analytics and historical data about your security posture.

Scan Reports by Status

A breakdown of all scan reports grouped by their current status:

Status Description
Open Findings awaiting review or action.
In Progress Findings currently being investigated or remediated.
Support Ongoing Findings escalated to support.
Request for Approval Findings pending approval for action.
No Action Required Findings reviewed and deemed acceptable.
Accepted Risk Findings acknowledged as accepted risk.
Fixed Findings that have been resolved.
Re-Opened Previously fixed findings that have resurfaced.

Scan Reports by Severities

Distribution of scan reports across severity levels (Informational, Low, Medium, High, Critical) with total counts.

Security Score Trend

A chart monitoring your security score over configurable time ranges (7 Days, 30 Days, 60 Days). Displays:

  • Current Security Score -- Your score right now.
  • Highest Security Score -- Peak score within the selected period.
  • Lowest Security Score -- Lowest score within the selected period.
  • Average Security Score -- Average over the selected period.

Understanding Your Security Score

S4E calculates a Security Score on a 0--100 scale:

  • 81--100 -- Excellent security. Few or no significant vulnerabilities.
  • 51--80 -- Good security. Some vulnerabilities require attention.
  • 21--50 -- Poor security. Multiple significant vulnerabilities detected.
  • 0--20 -- Critical risk. Immediate action recommended.

The score updates automatically as scans complete and findings are resolved.

Assets by Vulnerability

A snapshot of the most exposed assets, showing security score, asset name, and severity distribution. Click View all to open the full Asset Manager.

Asset Stats

Overview of asset verification status, showing total assets, verified count, and unverified count.

Time Open Found

A table tracking service presence across your assets, updated with a TCP Full Port Service Scan every 24 hours. Shows asset, port, protocol name, missing count, seen count, and current status.

Total URL Growth

Growth of discovered URLs within the selected time range. Requires a Crawl Only scan to populate data.

Unique Request Growth

Growth of unique requests within the selected time range. Also populated by Crawl Only scans.

Top 5 Auto Detected Services

Most frequently detected services across your infrastructure, with total service count and top data source.

Open Port - Protocol Statistics

Overview of open port and protocol statistics, including total count and the most common port-protocol combination.

DNS Records

Overview of DNS record types across monitored domains, including A, AAAA, NS, and other record types with total counts.

Scan Graph Tab

The Scan Graph tab provides a visual relationship graph of your scans and assets. Use the Filter dropdown to narrow the view by specific criteria.
