Every finding in S4E has a status that tracks its position in the remediation workflow. Statuses can be set by users manually or updated automatically by the platform based on scan results.
Available Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Open | Finding has been detected and has not been addressed yet. Automatically assigned when first discovered. |
| In Progress | Remediation work has begun. A team member is actively working on fixing the issue. |
| Support ongoing | The finding has been escalated to external or internal support for further investigation. |
| Request for approval | A proposed action or status change is pending approval from an authorized team member. |
| No action required | The finding has been reviewed and determined to require no remediation at this time. |
| Accepted risk | The finding is a genuine vulnerability, but the organization has decided to accept the risk rather than remediate it. |
| False positive | The finding has been reviewed and determined to not be a genuine vulnerability. See Managing False Positives. |
| Fixed | The vulnerability has been resolved. The issue is no longer present. |
| Re-Opened | A previously fixed or closed finding has resurfaced in a subsequent scan. |
